Acolytes

Trinity has an extraordinarily active acolyte program through which many parish youth enhance our worship each Sunday. If you are interested, call or e-mail Jeanette Monsegur for more information. There are only three requirements: age 12 or older, desire and dedication. It is a fun and rewarding way to serve the parish while at the same time it is an opportunity to learn more about our rich liturgy. Lessons and experiences of serving as an acolyte make for a lifetime of memories.

Acolytes serve at the 10:00 service about once per month. The servers gather to vest at 9:30 to allow ample time to go over last minute instructions that might be unique to that particular service. All parishioners, adults as well as teens, are urged to consider serving as an acolyte.

Training sessions are conducted monthly. Each candidate is fully trained to easily accomplish the tasks they are expected to perform before being placed in the service situation. The training sessions also provide the opportunity for the younger acolytes who are new to the program to meet and bond with those who have been in the program for awhile.
