Nearly two dozen parishioners gathered Sunday afternoon, December 21, for the greening of the church. By tradition, the church is not decorated for church until after the last Sunday service in Advent.
Out came the Christmas tree, the garlands, the candle lamps, and the creche as the church was prepared for the twelve days of Christmas. Laughter abounded with the holiday mood infecting all. And yes, an obligatory tree decoration or two crashed to the floor.
The Altar Guild prepared the sanctuary, changing the frontal and bringing out a host of bright red poinsettias.
