Thanks to everyone who came and helped out with the hike on Saturday March 21 at Lake Hodges. There were 22 hikers total: 17 from Trinity, 4 from Grace-San Marcos and one from St John's-Fallbrook. We walked as a big group along the flat north shore for a couple of miles, and then split up into two groups, one of which went up to the top of Bernardo Mountain for a nice view, and the other which continued walking along the north shore to I-15. The second group got to get a close-up look at the new bike/pedestrian 'stressed ribbon' bridge across the lake, which you can glimpse from I-15 as you drive over the lake.
The event was organized by Trinity's reknown explorer, Marshall Whittlesey. Everybody had a good time. It did take longer than expected, because so many more people wanted to go up Bernardo Mountain than anticipated. Hopefully, nobody's schedule was mixed up as a result.
See you all for the next hike!
