Rev. Meg's weekly herald of

What's Happening At Trinity

(Thursday, May 1, 2008)

Hello to all!

It's time for Trinity's weekly update, and the big news today is--the Envisioning Campaign!

Each week you've been hearing about this essential plan for Trinity's future, you've been reading about it in the newsletter, but soon you'll be seeing it in action! This coming Sunday we take the first step in a new way of caring with the availability of training for use of the AED, or Automatic External Defibrillator. The Defibrillator is in the office right now, waiting for us to learn how to use it. Sunday, at 12:30, a guest speaker from the Red Cross will be here, complete with a dummy for practicing, to show us how it's done. The training is short, easy, and open to all. Make a point of joining us--who knows when you might be the right person at the right time?

Next in the Envisioning Campaign--Trinity's new look! Soon, very soon, Trinity will have new paint and flooring, in brand new colors. The new look has been carefully and lovingly planned by a group of parishioners, meeting with professional designers, to come up with a color plan that will enable our building to better support our worshipping community. All that will begin in just 2 weeks, so get ready for a new Trinity!

Now, to the rest of the schedule:

Now, some details:

Saturday, May 3: Pastoral Care Meeting with Kay Stuckhardt of Palomar-Pomerado Faith/Health Partnership, 10-noon, in the church office - Saturday, May 3: We've all been in those situations--when a friend is having difficult times--what do you say after "hello"? No need to procrastinate or avoid your friend, no need to be uncomfortable. The answers can be found at this meeting, meant to help us all with our caring skills. Kay Stuckhardt from Palomar-Pomerado Hospital will be here, 10-noon, to teach us the skills we all need, and it will be helpful to one and all. Come learn to do what we know we all should, and join the conversation.
